Scrambler Center Stand

Do you have one?? Do you like it?? Do you use it???
I am debating getting a center stand on my scrambler. I am wonder how much clearance is lost with it on. Though I have a paddock stand at home, it would not help me lube the chain, fix a flat or deal with any other issue whilst on a trip.
Also, are Scrambler center stands the same part number as the one for the Bonneville, or are they bike specific?
Cheers

The first accessory I went out and bought was a centre stand. Makes life way easier, lubing & adjusting the chain, oil changes etc. Plus I'm 'old school' and every street bike I've owned has had a centre stand, so I always park on it as well. (It goes on the stand very easy)

I've not had any cornering issues, but it will 'clunk' going over a large bump. The Scrambler centre stand is a different part number, probably due to the different length suspension.

I have one and am glad I got it. The clanking over rough roads is disconcerting at first, but you'll get used to it quickly. It does make the abovementioned tasks much easier, also very handy for winter storage.

i dont have one. and i would never have one. mainly because i have a bonnie and the scrambler center stand doesn't fit on the bonnie. they are bike specific...

Question Center Stand

Never had one (on the Bonne) & never will! @ $200+ The sears jack @ $59 is a much better investment!! Can do anything on it! Youll never change a flat nowadays on the road or at all? The jack will do anything you want it to do! Had center stands on past bikes. Didnt use them much. Limits twisties & is noisey as mentioned! Dont see the need for one now that jacks/ lifts are so cheap!! Didnt have them in the old days!! Couldnt live w/o mine now!! Compare jack/ lift vs Centerstand? Tell me which is a better rig/ deal?

Well, both schools of thought are represented here. This piece seems to be a love it or hate it kind of thing.

I've got it and love it. Best way to change the oil at an AutoZone when you're on the road. And the other items as well.

Wouldn't own a bike without one (if possible). Purchased mine with my $1K promo dollars from Triumph.

Makes adjusting/lubing the chain a snap.

Oh, and changing oil too...

Agreed

But how often do you do those things?? Is it worth $200+ or $59 for that convienence?
My point. All my old (most) had center stands & there werent jacks (cheap) back then. The center stand had a real purpose then!! Now - things have changed. Is it worth $200+ to lube chain & clean rear wheel & deal w/ the problems ,OR $59 to do that & more? JMOP

I'm not sure how you travel, but I don't travel with a jack.

All my bikes have centerstands.
