Brakes, Rubber and Bars

Got the Michelin Anakees on this weekend + new pads front and rear.

BIG difference!

So after I picked her up from the dealership I rode over to Thrux-ton-up's house to install the ACR bars.

John was great - he did all of the wrenching and was very cool and patient with me while we made adjustments.

The bars make a big difference in how she corners, that plus the fresh rubber and pads makes the bike feel 110% better.

I put about 200 miles on the Anakees so far, I really like them for my urban riding on crap pavement. I even felt more confident in some pretty strong cross-winds on the interstate @ 75+ mph, but maybe it's all in my head...lol. One thing is for sure new springs, fork oil and shocks are next!

Thanks again to John, he's a stand up guy with a lot of knowledge and patience!

*John took these pics - nice!

Very Nice

I Like The Look Of Those Bars. Not Sure If They Would Have Me Leaning To Far Forward. I'm Shocked They Do Not Hit Your Tank. Looks Great!

Drew,

Looking at your bike it is pretty apparent that you need to chop the fenders. Come on - you are turning it into a cafe-racer, aren't you?

Greetings,
T

Yeah but if I keep spending all my money on the bike I won't have a girlfriend much longer...

Just think of all the other girls that will flock to you when you have a cool cafe-racer...

Drew - your killing me here... I'm supposed to be a hard core, whiskey drinkin, cussing, ton-up boy. Your ruining my image, but thanks for the kind words. See you in the mountains.

Edit: ...after we installed the bars we heckled the neighbors and did wheelies...better?

Seriously, thanks man! The bars rawk!

Sorry Drew, didn't mean to mess it up for you.

Ms Drew: Don't believe all the banter on the forum. We all kid around. You believe that, don't you? Don't you??

PS Drew, very nice bike! Your girlfriend sure is lucky to have a boyfriend with such a cool ride.
