Finally had my D&D's fitted to my Scram, and all I can say is

I couldn't stop laughing from the time i got on, to when I got home. Maybe a bit loud, but I do have to compete with 20 HD and a few Thruxtons on a Wednesday Night Club Night.

Beautifully made and sound superb!

Just wait till you hear them/feel the power with a NARK!

I did get the NARK fitted. Only one minor issue regarding the screws supplied to hold on the fuse box not having washers, so the fusebox was loose, but a quick trip to the hardware store will fix that. I zip tied the thing in place for the moment. The only other issue on the Scrambler was the lack of a bottom mounting clip for the right sidecover, but if you pull the "rubber" off the rear clip there's a handy hole with which to zip tie it to another very handy hole on the frame. Zip tie job is hidden from view by the exhaust, so a.o.k.

This thing pulls like a freight train and has really woken up between 60-100mph. Freeway cruising is now easy and comfortable!

I also installed the new headlight last night - looks great. Need to get longer headlight mounting screws, and need to work on ignition switch relocation (didn't cross my mind that the switch was connected to the old headlight "wing". Currently it's zipped tied to my right fork leg right below the headlight!

Pictures soon and speedometer install this weekend.

Nark and D&D for Scrambler

Hey there!

I just bought the nark and D&D exhaust too, should be arriving on July 8th. Just a question, I've done very little wrenching on my bike, it's my first one. It is tough to install both of these? I called the local dealer and they quoted me about 3 hours labor which includes dyno for around $250. Could I do it myself or is it better to cough up the money to have them do it?

I also ordered the Haynes manual so I'm hoping that might help me figure it out, I have no idea how to jet my bike. Which jets did people go with, the nark one or exhaust one? Any special tools I need or anything?

Thanks in advance.

Fitting the slip-ons is easy

Doing a rejet depends on the individaul, some do it themselves other like myself prefer to have it done by the Garage. The Airbox isn't hard, you just need the right tools. There are plenty of post on both these subjects on this forums, some with links to videos on how it's done.

I would do all the work myself and get the bike picked and up and jetted.

OMG! I just got home from the shop where I had my NARK and D&D exhaust installed on my Scrambler. All I can say is wow! I'll have to post the dyno for it but I started out at 41hp at the wheel and now I'm up to 54hp. It feels awesome!

I have the right side case off so you can see the filter but the left side one is still on. It was dark by the time I got home so I'm not sure what it looks like underneath but the shop said there were a lot of wires so he thought the box on was the best option to start with. Has anyone found a good trick for making the left side looks as sweet as the right? Lol, seems like most bike mods make the right side awesome and the left looks untouched, haha.

I'll try and take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
