NEW drags race results from this friday
Hey guys, took my bike to the races again this friday. I did not do anything to the bike but ran some significanlty better times. Run 2 was my best run. Run 6 and 7 we tried out pro-tree lights, little to get used to on those. I am still in search of getting my stock bike into the 12's, getting closer. I was racing a T-100 with CR's, he is pissed I beat him every run, but I think he still needs some tuning on his carbs.

Wow - those times look pretty consistent to me. Then again, I raced a few cars at the drags in the 1970's, nothing serious, and a long time ago.
Playing with tire pressures worthwhile? It helped some of the guys to air up the fronts for minimal rolling resistance and air down the back a bit for better traction coming off the line. I don't know if the same thing holds true for a bike or not.
Thanks for posting! It's great to know someone is running their Triumph!

CRs are crap
T-100 with CR's, he is pissed I beat him every run, but I think he still needs some tuning on his carbs.
He needs to swap them with real carbs.
But don't tell him that if you want to continue beating him.

I tried telling him in a nice way........but once i get 42's he will be a believer, actually I don't want to bash a vendor, but British Customs told him 39's and 42's are not good for street riding, I think they kinda misled him, alot.

I think most that say 42s are no good for street use ether have never run them or dont know how to tune them.
I wished you lived near me i need a crazy drag race rider to ride my bike.I am going to have to run it once just to see what it will do,I got to say it scares the hell out of me in 1st gear ,once i get it off the line i will be fine.I know i sound like a old sissy but you can open this thing up at 2000rpm coming off a stop light it will carry the front wheel through 1st. around 3500 rpm its goes over 60 ft/lbs of torque.It comes up real quick on ya.

I wish I lived near you too! I would love to ride your bike. Yea, you gotta be carefull in first, I have lit it up twice on the track, think I caught some oil, and it get a little hairy, peeled out all over the place, luckily I am able to handle it ok, probably cuz I am young and dumb. I bet you will be in the low 12's or better, **** I am almost in the 12's now.

reaction time
Jfenton;
On run # 2, your reaction time kept you out of the 12s. You weree .1 sec slower in reaction to the light. If your reaction time had of been as fast as # 1, you would have Ibelieve a 12.9-- on that timing slip. WHEW
