Dreaming a little: Bonneville 675?
I know of a wrecked 675, and I had a frankenstein-like thought...

Will that engine fit in a Bonneville frame?

I've never done anything remotely similar to this...Will it work? what would it take?

(and would a 1200 kit & 42mm flatsides be more power/less money?)

That's funny, Matt, I had pretty much the same thought about that wrecked 675...

I'll have the motor out of the "frame" in a week and will get the dimensions to you nuts
lets do the math
Bonne=60hp
675=125hp
can you say overpowered frame???

I figured it would be a cool experiment. We just need a frame . . . wait a minute, oh that's right, we know that Drew keeps his bike parked outside! OK, we now have all the pieces in place to try this experiment.

If the frame can handle whatever BottleFed did to his bike, wouldn't you think it could the 675?

Of course I don't have a clue about this stuff, just thinking out loud at this point.

the frame could handle it, but the chassis dynamics would be a little sketchy above 100mph, which I'm sure would be accomplished easily with that mill.

anything can be made to fit...but I'd rather have a 1200 cc bonnie than a 675. Neither is cheap or easy though.

Hey Matt - if you pull your engine for the 675 I'll take your engine for inventory.

I'm still hoping that your wife gives you the last minute Mercy Pass to join us!
