2007 T100 Owners Manual Clarification

I have a questions about 2 items in my owners manual.

1. It instructs you to remove the battery cable before changing
the headlight bulb.

2. It warns you not to run out of fuel because it could do damage
to the catalytic converter.

An input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

Can't comment on the fuel issue, but the reason for the suggestion to disconnect the battery cable for a headlight bulb swap is because there is a jungle of wiring and connectors inside the headlight cowl.

I guess that that means there are live wires in there, even with the ignition off.

Thanks
Mike

Its typical liability stuff. All connectors are multi-plug w/ no exposed ends. The bulb can easily be changed w/o disconnecting battery. I'm sure some markets have cats. Triumph has only one manual version. There are always hot wires.

When did they start with catalytic converters in the US models?
