Talking Need advice on new installs

hello, I am about to open up the airbox myself with out a kit and put on k&n filters. also i am going to be putting on a D&D Full Race TT System. I am looking for some help with how to re-jet the carbs, which sizes do i need. I have a 07 thruxton. oh yeah I am new here so please be gentle.

Welcome Dude.Your D&Ds should come with jets and if you get them from our favored suppliers [Mike or Brent] and let them know of your airbox plans,they will guide your jetting needs

Hey thanks for the advice. have you heard of anyone getting those pipes for the thruxton. also what is your take on the DIY removal of the airbox.

The do-it-yourself airbox is an okay quick fix. I did the operation and it was not difficult but trying to find places for the wiring etc. was a pain and a lot of electrical tape was used. Its also ugly to look at but I guess thats why we have side covers. I will upgrade to a kit when I have the money. Eventually I would like to permanently remove the sidecovers.

if you remove air box and change your exhaust to a open system you must re-jet

If you don't know how to re-jet your carbs, what the hek are you doing playing with your airbox or exhaust?

Be nice...........He's asking for help..........

SFDude,Read back in this fourm.There are lost's and lost's for post
about who used what pipe and what jet's with what filter.There is even
a post here somewhere on how to re-jet.What to take off and such.
