Which is better: OEM or Haynes Service Repair Manual
Hey all....
Just want to know which one is better? The OEM service repair manual or the one done by Haynes? I currently have a 2007 Bonnie. When the warranty expires I would like to have a manual so I don't pay an arm and a leg for doing any repairs and what not.

I haven't seen the OEM svc manual, but I have the Haynes and it's excellent -- really good step-by-step instructions for simple to pretty significant wrenching that even a novice (like me) can follow successfully.

I have both. I find myself reaching for the Haynes Manual more frequently. Owning both is a "good" thing though...

I also have both. They each have their pros and cons. If you're on a budget, or a novice bike mechanic, get the Haynes. Ideally get both.

+1 for owning both.
Being that a lot of the dealer are freaking clueless...it is probably best to own both...
The Haynes manual actually gives you instructions....

Haynes is more of a guide to follow. The service manual assumes you are an experienced mechanic and is more technical.

+1 for having both. If I could only have 1 it'd be the Triumph manual though.

Manuals
I have the Haynes, & it is a decent book to follow. as usual- they tend to leave out some real specific info- like Chiltons etc.. If you have some mech talents, it will do the trick! Even has some helpful tips! The OEM would be a plus_ but @ a price!! Got all the info in Haynes- just need to know how to use it! I used to love Chiltons-(NOT) give ya all the info to the last step & then zip! Got $$ go for both. Not - Haynes will do nicely

Haynes for directions, Triumph for exploded line diagrams to see how stuff goes back together.
