Broke a carb heater wire —finally!

It is one of the rounded ones. Does this even matter? I live where it never freezes. My CR carbs had no heaters and I had no problem "feeezing" at idle. Do the stock carbs need the heaters? Is it fine just stuffing the broken wire back into the rubber sleeve for now? Should I disconnect it altogether or reattach it? Seems like more work than it's worth.

I bet it';s not an issue

Many here have removed them all toigether. I am considering doing the same just to clean things up a bit. I shouldn't think you'll notice them missing.

Cheers,

SK

I think I've seen you and your wife ( I mean an Orange Creamsicle and a Vstar with a woman rider. Have you ridden out and around Mulholand —near Malibu lake & The Rock Store?

Thumbs up Carb Heaters

I disconnected mine @ birth! Never had a problem. Never thought I would. I think they are more for pollution control than anything else! Cuts HC @ cold start & so on.. As said- make sure the end is cappped real good. 1 less thing to break?
