Sportster shocks

has anyone tried HD Sportster shocks on a Bonnie or Thruxton?
+1/2" on a Bonne, -1/2" on a Thruxton
they mount up pretty easily and seem to be sprung rather soft on a Sportster so could be spot on for a 50 pound lighter Triumph
I have 2 new pair that I picked up cheap
I know they have a reputation for being the best $5 shocks on the market

I tried them on my Thruxton
put them on over the winter, they fit fine, look good (the "heft" of the shocks fits the bike) and they went "boing" when I sat on it, probably would be good for two up
but I took them off without riidng it as I have Hagons on it anyway
so now I have two sets of "new" HD shocks to get rid of

I'd be willing to try them if they're not expensive ... I'd like to feel the difference in ride, and would like to get the extra 1/2" too on my T100.

Caveat: you need to press the bushings out of your stock shocks and press them into the HD shocks and use longer mounting bolts as the HD shock eyelets are wider than the Triumph part
the HD shocks are 13 1/4" long eye to eye, the bush ID is 12mm and the eye width is 22mm
the Tri bush is 12mm ID and the eye is 18mm wide
