Angry Arg

Well I now need to know a good procedure for touching up the paint as my ramp fell onto my bike in the garage and took a nice chunk out of the tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all have better luck. I guess it just ain't my day today!

Paint

Before any sugestions- What color is she?? Any dent?? Bummer!! I still got a scratch -deep from the gas pump when it didnt stop rite! Been buffing it - but that aint gonna do it!
Got some ideas if she is black & no dent , and the extent of / depth of the scratch?
If its the worst- prepping & painting isnt that much $$! Got a place here if you prep & bring the tank there -will paint it for $50. Let us know.

She's yellow. . . or in that spot was yellow. No dent, I have no idea how there isn't a dent, but its pretty much all the way through the paint. I just don't know how it really happened, the neighbors all hate us so It wouldn't suprise me if it was intentional. I just dont think the wind did it, I've left the door up in a bad storm bike and ramp in the same spots and nothing happened. IT just frustrates me so darn much, she was pristine afore this. . .Thanks Capt, Ill let you know but I just don't see myself down florida way anytime soon. . . although I would love a nice long trip.. . I could prep and ship though I suppose. I'm gonna go talk to a guy here in town tomorrow and see what can be done.

Paint

If you can get the exact color paint- he can probably airbrush the area & buff it up to like new? You hate to think someone would do something like that on purpose!! Good luck!

It depends on how big the scar is but if it isn't humongous you could get the touch up paint from Triumph and fill the scar with multiple coats until it is slightly higher than the original finish, level it with some 2000 grit and buff it out with Meguiars Swirl Remover.
