Very "Cold-Blooded" Bonnie

I have an 07 Bonnie. That has gotten very cold-blooded lately. It has become increasingly difficult to start unless the temperature in\s 60+. Anyone else have this problem? Any idea what the problem may be? Was thinking maybe I needed to change the spark plugs. The bike has 4700 miles on it.

Just got my 2007 T100 back from the dealer, only had 50 miles on it and had similar issues, brought it right back. They said that they cleaned out the carbs and adjusted the pilot screw. Bottom line, it now fires up on the first hit of the button without the choke.

is the bike stock or modified? If so, what mods?

Sounds like your idle mixture is lean, do you have a D-tool? If so, richen up the idle mix screws a 1/2 turn or so.

Yes, many of them are that way as sold. When I rejetted in conjunction with new silencers and air filter, it became easier to start.

Only mods are the Norman Hyde Toga Silencers which I have had on since last year.

if you put those pipes on and didn't rejet, that's exactly your problem. You are lean = cold natured.

One other thing - did you run the carbs dry before storing her last winter? If you didn't take a look for the "Green Slime" in the bowls compliments of Ethanol!

I'd dump half a can of SeaFoam in your next gas tank, just for good measure. Might clear up any gunk that's in your float bowls/carbs/rest of fuel system. Although it does sound as though you also/instead need jetting changes. Those idle mixture screws are incredibly powerful on Bonnies. Normally, I would not expect them to have much effect past 1/8 or 1/4 throttle or so, but my wife's 07 begs to differ...
