Thanks, John. I think I'll do mine this week.

One question, do I need to buy 5/16" tube or can I just use one of the longer tubes that I'll remove from the canister?

The tube that was connected to the carb vents on my bike was missing. I don't know how long it is. Unfortunately, none of the other lines are 5/16".

I think the 5/16 tubing is for the carb bowl vent and if you have not taken it off, it is attached to the valve on the top frame rail. Just reroute it or zip tie it to the tank vent like I did.
