Cool Alternatives to the Scrambler center stand (or, I'm a chintzy SOB)

The Scrambler's center stand is roughly $200.00 ! A center stand for an old Yamaha XS650 is $40.00. A center stand is hardly a engineering feat of any magnitude. I plan on asking my dealer to line up a center stand parade from other makes/models, but wanted to know if anyone has already gone down this road.

Thanks in advance.

I think you'll have a hard time finding some other stand with the right configuration to bolt up to the Scrambler.

You might give Old Scratcher a PM. He just took his off,for good,I think, and might be willing to give you a deal on it.Or check the classifieds on this forum.Several people are removing theirs because they have a tendency to rattle, especially on bumpy roads.

Cheers!
Bruce
