Wiring Q???

Can anyone do me a favour please? 2004 Thruxton. I'm wiring it back up and can't remember which connector goes to + and which to - on the coil. There's a red wire and a yellow/black one. Haynes isn't much help.

Also, where does the main battery earth connect to? I seem to remember it was the left footrest hanger pinch bolt but I can't remember.

Part answer...

Triumph Manual for the Bonnie has the Yellow/Black going to terminal 1 and Red to terminal 2. Presumably there are markings on the coil.

Can't help with the earth lead though.

Yeah, the Haynes manual's the same. Unfortunately the terminals are marked + and - rather than 1 & 2.

Ignition coil

Haynes section on Ignition system, Ignition HT coils states, "the red wire goes to the positive (+) terminal on the coil." That ought to clear it up a bit.
