I'm weighing in a bit late on this particular thread. When you start the bike at full choke IMMIDIATELY after starting move the choke lever to about 1/2 travel. Leave it there until the bike is warm enough to run without stumbling. This has worked for me.

My '05 T100's plugs have that perfect light tan color which indicates to me that the mixture is just about right. I got it with 2000 miles already on it so I cannot say with complete certainty that it has not been modified. But the dealer said he was sure that it was all stock.... Someday I hope I'll meet the previous owner and find out for sure. But I said all that to say this: With the engine dead cold the machine starts fairly easily with full choke even when its 30°F or below. At 60°F to 70°F a half choke for 10 seconds is all it needs. Above 70°F it needs no choke at all and starts with a second of two of cranking.
Gaging by many of the posts in this forum, this seems unusual.
