NARK CARB Question

After I installed the NARK I noticed that the carbs jiggle a bit even though I have the carb brace on.

Should the carb brace stop the carbs from moving all together and not even let it jiggle?

I ask this because it is moving quite a bit and right after I put on the NARK I have been having intermittent cut off problems and the carbs are jiggling way too much.

I am wondering if something is happening to the carb bowls with all that movement.

Are the carbs jiggling from engine vibration or from the engine missing? Mine would jump once in a while but only if I get kind of a backfire, and that's kind of rare. I would check your carb jetting or make sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewhere.

The carbs are jiggling because of the engine vibration. I just snugged it up a bit.

I did check for leaks but everything seems tight.

I put some seafoam in the carbs to see how it goes.

Thumbs up

LoxPump you were 100% correct I had a vacuum leak.

The vacuum cap that comes with the AI removal kit was cracked.

I went to Home Depot and in the hardware vidmars found a 1/2 inch x 5/16 rubber stopper for .46 cents.

I then drilled a hole in it to match the original vacuum cap and ran the bike with no issues.

It looks good too. The rubber is much thicker than the stock caps.

Great! That's the first thing I check for if any engine is running rough at idle. I have a leak myself that I just noticed. There is a small piece of tubing than runs between the carbs that has a crack. Should also be a cheap fix. If you think you have a leak and don't see it right off, I've used a can of spray starting fluid which is just ether. Give her a spray near any gaskets or hoses and you'll know when you find it. Just don't spray near any open flames or sparks, the stuff is very flamable. Spray Gumout or carb cleaner works too.
