Wot's goin' on 'ere then?

My SuperScram died three times on me today, & nearly left me stranded back-o-beyond. But fortunately it started straight away each time.
However I've no idea why it's conking out on me, & it's put me off going any further into the never-never until I find out. So any help will be appreciated.
Here are the three events (lucky I was filming)

Im going to email this vid to my dealer, so my mechanic can look at it too. But any suggestions that I can take to him would help.
Thanks

I would be checking the side stand switch or the spring might be getting a bit sad and letting the stand drop a bit and cutting out

I thought it might be that too. I've just had a new spring fitted, as the old one fell off a couple of weeks ago. & the fact that I've got to get back to neutral to get it to start again makes me think that the switch might be the prob.

That sure sounded like a classic side stand switch failure since the motor died like you doused it with the kill switch and nary a sputter.

Sounds just like mine did last Saturday. My problem wound up being a bad power coil. Adjusted the gap, same problem, replaced coil under warranty.

Not a pleasant experience when she just gives up on you.

Good luck, Scratch.

It's the vent valve on your vent line coming
from your tank, it's either stuck or clogged.

Your bike sounds great while it's running!
Vacuum problem. At 8 seconds into the vid you went through a water puddle. To me it sounded like the motor didn't just stop. It was struggling for gas just a few second before dying. As soon as the vacuum recovered you were able to restart.

Just my opinion. Happened to me during a rain once. Never any problems before or since.

I've had my '07 Bonnie Black in the shop for for almost two weeks for exactly the same thing. It happened twice in a space of about two weeks a couple months ago and I knew that taking it in would be pointless. It seemed electrical to me as the tach would drop down to zero even though I was still in gear and moving.
So then it didn't appear for a couple months but when it came back it came back big time. It was dropping out every couple of minutes. But it would always cut back in before I stopped moving. I only had a couple miles to go so I rode it home. This happened on a Sunday. Took it to the shop on Tuesday. No problem riding there and they've had it for almost two weeks and they can't find it. I'm supposed to pick it up today. We'll see what develops...
