6K Cheat
I'm about 200 miles from breaking 6K, and I'm skipping my service until next weekend. If I take her in with a few hundred miles over I'm ok, right?
Right? :

Should be no problem, sometimes when you hit 6000 miles the bike might stop running as some of the test bikes produced have a 6000 mile limiter.

Gee, live in the fast lane lad. 200 miles over, well if and it is an if, the crankshaft doesn't seize and the rod bearing don't spin and gall on you, you might be ok for up to 300 miles over.
You'll be ok
Always read the fine print.

No... not really. However, your bike will be just fine.

Broke mine in to 1000 miles stock. Broke the 904 in to 700 miles. The bike will tell you if there's a problem.

What 6000 mile service? An oil change and all the stuff you should be checking anyway?

6000 mi
Did my yearly. The oil looked prety bad. I will now do a pre summer change & an after summer change! Hell- not that much $$. You live in a hot area. Id do a 2x/ yr too? In Mass or? 1x/ per year will do it I am sure. The summer takes a toll on an "oil cooled " bikes oil!
Can fry an egg on the pavement here in the summer!! All is OK but I will feel better ( the Bonne too) doing a 2x year! JMO

Has Triumph been able to improve the OU81's since the problems with the late 06 and early 07 quality issues? Peoiple were waiting 3 and 4 months to get parts. Real mess. Imagine, an anticlockwise sensor installed on a bike in a counterclockwise culture.
