Crutches On a Triumph - No really

Okay all with the riding season in full swing I've got a little problem I need help solving. About 2 weeks ago I fractured two bones in my knee just enough to require crutches for the next 4 weeks. No cast, no brace, I'm just not supposed to put any weight on it. So I'm sitting here thinking about a ride coming up in a little over a week (Moonshine IL anybody going?) and I need to come up with a way to strap my crutches on the bonnie.

Now before anybody starts reading me the riot act, I've got ZERO pain in my knee and I have full movement. The surgeon just warned me that I need to keep weight off it in order for the bone to heal or I'm going to continue to "stress" the fracture and make it worse. I can't think of a better way to do that then ride.

Any ideas? Oh yeah I'd like to come up with something temporary and on a reasonable budget because in 4 weeks I'm done with them.

Why don't you get a collapsible cane? I wouldn't frak with crutches, unless you can find them collapsible too

A long long long time ago, I rode while requireing crutches to walk. Here's what I did. It isn't pretty, but worked.

Lower one of the passenger pegs and brace the crutches on the peg (vertically). Wide end of crutch down (yes, I know it's obvious). Use a short bungee or cable tie to hold the cruth on the peg. Use longer bungees to keep the crutch verticle. I would use a bungee or strap that runs through the crutch, under the fender (between the wheel and fender), and up over the seat. Should be good up to 70 mph or so. Be cautious until you a re sure that the crutches won't move.
