Neutral indicator light
I just got my bike out of winter storage, and went for a quick blast up the road and back, and noticed my neutral indicator light stayed on through all the gears. It didn't do this when it was put away last fall. Is there an adjustment? Where is it? I also put on a 19 tooth c-shaft sprocket during the winter. There is a difference, but I can't say how much, since I only briefly got up to about 40mph. Pulling away from a stop didn't seem to be a problem, though. I'm not looking to pull wheelies or hole shots, I did enough of that in my younger days.

There might be a clue to your problem in this sentence. Did you trap or displace any wires when you re-fitted the sprocket cover after doing this? The switch for the neutral light is not adjustable and lives underneath the engine.

check to be sure you did not get your neutral light wire caught between the cover and engine case if so the light can stay on and it will also start while in gear , if so your bike can fall over when starting...
personal experience speaking.

Yep, that was it
Thanks guys, that was it. Is it me, or is that a poor design problem? It was actually a little difficult not getting it pinched. I went for a little longer ride this afternoon, to check out the new 19t sprocket. It made the bike a little more relaxed, dare I say, almost Harley-like. Most of the riding I do is on local 2 lanes, where the stock sprocket may be desirable, but when I do ride on the e-way, I felt the rpm were a little too high. A 6 speed would be great. That would give a good low end, with a higher highway gear. I'll have to take a longer ride tomorrow and decide which sprocket I like better.
