DIY fender elimination for under $60

Being new to the Triumph culture I have been surprised by the numbers of modifications that get done. It seems like its first the AI system then "baffelectomy" then airbox replacement with pods & so on until the bikes reach the degree of excellence represented by Thruxtonup & Mancha.
So not to be outdone I did the AI removal & new pipes then decided to give the rear fender a go. Price of the kits around $300 so I had the fender sculpt ed(read chopped) at an engineering works for free. Painted it with an aerosol for protection only as it can't be seen now & purchased a new tailight made for a Chinese moped for $15. The light almost bolted straight onto the frame so only a few modifications were necessary.Had to splash out for indicators though ($25).
The result is fantastic, with a real minimalistic view at the back. Here is the result minus indicators at this stage. Err correction on the pics, until I figure out how to do it.
You know what really surprises me, the bikes are British yet all the goodies come from N America

Sounds good!

To post a photo, you first need to put it on a photo-hosting web site, like Photobucket. http://www.photobucket.com

Then you can just copy and paste your photo's URL to your post here.

Pretty simple if this ol' guy can do it! Looking forward to seeing your fender job! Regards, Guy

Guy
Isn't there something better than "photobucket"? I find the majority of pictures posted from that site are "deleted". Is there something wrong with my computer or their program. I'm asking this question because my kumpewtur eggspurtese is so limited.

Lots of pictures I've missed on this site because of this:

Dunno what might be better. I've been using them for a couple of years w/no problems. Posted quite a few photos here so far, and they haven't vanished... Yet...
