Silvania Silverstars have a reputation for early failure. Osram Silverstars, on the other hand, last a lot longer. Its the same company, but the Osram bulbs are made in Germany. Different plant, same basic specs (more or less).

Thumbs up Xenon

Still workin 5/1. It isnt all that bright. Maybe cause I have a visor?> It is much better than the stocker! I found a common problem w/ H- lights. Noticed it 1st on garagebuds HD. I asked why his HL was so cloudy? He said- sand blast on lense. I said -no way. we pulled the bucket off & windexed the inside of the lense. Bingo!!! It came clear again!! It seems these things build of a haze inside the bucket after time. Then looked in the Bonne- same thing!! Cleaned it out & yeah BINGO!! I guess not sealed- so a film can build up over time?
One thing again to keep an eye on! The xenon arent that bright! A little different color yeah, but 1 above the sttocker. I guess thats 1 better? I just hope thhis one lasts a little longer? So far- so good.

Oh yea... I forgot to mention that the H6024XV is only $15 at just about any auto parts store.

Silverstar - H6024XV

Saw these two next to each other at the auto store. I got the Silverstar 'cause they're from the same company and it claims to be the whitest and brightest. $10 more, but $25 is worth a shot. I'm not going to quibble over $10 when it comes to seeing at night.

I'm definitely happy with it. It's got a spread to the beam that I like. Anyways, anything is better than stock. A 4 cell mag duct taped to your helmet is better than the stocker.
