harbor freight lift

I finaly put together the lift I bought at harbour freight last year. it went together fairly easily and all parts were there.
So finally I cleaned and lubed the chain on my bonnie. I also checked the spokes, all were tight, and checked the front brakes for drag. I shuld have done this last year since I have 7200 miles without lubing the chain. My old xs650 only got 300 or so miles per chain, but I used some cheap 15.00 chains from a hardware store. the stock chain didnt need any adjustment, and has no side flex, so it might get me through the year.

I agree...

The lift is awesome! Makes cleaning/maintaining the bike so much easier. I had the bike almost two years before I got mine and I'm wondering how I lived without it.

the older you get, the further from the floor...

I made this lift 4-5 years ago for around $100 + a floor jack I had laying around...and it's been in use daily since.

I know guys rave about the ATV lift...wait until they find how much nicer these are. It relieves 80% of the drudgery when you can get the work up to your chair height...and have the tools spread out handy.

only problem is the space they take...which doesn't concern me because I use it as a fabrication/welding table...we even used it for my daughter's graduation party as a food table.

mine is wide enough for a garden tractor...the HF one is a bit narrow for that without a plywood top. I saw HF had them on sale one time for $199. If that ever comes around again you guys should snatch them up...don't even think.

useful?...yes yes yes.

Oh...I thought we were talking about a lift...nevermind.

a lift is a lift, a jack is a jack.
you can see why I was confused...

lift

it is a lift, not a table, a table lift would not let the rear tire spin so you can clean and lube the chain. there are extensions available for the hf lift to do that.

The table lift from harbor freight

HAS A DROPOUT, plate and you can turn the bike either way to remove wheels or change fork legs or whatever 100000% more stable than a jack and will fit under a pickup when down!
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=91764

This thing is great!

also with a block you can have both wheels off at the same time, done it for tire changes
