repair manuals

I was wondering what repair manual you wrenchers recommend?
I would like to get a bit more "in touch" with my scrambler. I bought it used it's an '06 with 800 miles. I was figuring on doing a 500 mile type service at around 1500. The shop I picked it up at serviced it when I got it but it was a Honda not a Triumph dealership, although the service tech was an ex-triumph certified tech. I still want to get familiar with the inner workings of my bike.
I have never done this sort of extensive work on a bike but I do consider myself to be mechanically inclined. If there were a Scrambler for dummies I'd be all over it but I don't see one.

There's only 2 manuals as far as I know, the Haynes manual and the official Triumph manual.

I have both, and I think both are very useful. The Haynes is "prettier" with color pictures etc, but I find the Triumph manual more useful. They are good to have in conjunction though.

The Haynes is a lot cheaper than the Triumph Manual so most people opt for that one.

I also prefer the Triumph Manual.

I also have both. I think the Haynes manual is closer to that "manual for dummies" and the Triumph manual is more for experienced mechanics. So I find myself going to the Haynes manual quite often...

Good to have both if possible. Heck for the approximate cost of one hour of professional labor at many motorcycle dealers, you could buy both.

I have the Haynes manual in book form and the Triumph repair and parts manuals in pdfs. I bought them on the internet, but I don't remember the site. Pretty cheap. I prefer to have them on the computer as I can print out what I want and get it as greasy as I need. Can also carry it with me on a thumb drive. I printed out the specs, mostly torques and the color wiring diagram from the haynes manuals after scanning them and put them under the seat.

That thing comes in very handy, especially the wiring diagrams, if you decide to go that far with your bike.
