Speedo Buzzzzzzzz

How'dy All,

This one is not that technical...but thought it the best place to post.

I put on a new Triumph flyscreen and for some reason the speedo keeps producing a vibration buzzing sound.

Now when I put on the flyscreen I have left on the front cable clip guide and tightened the flyscreen bracket up to 20Nm as per instructions. Nothing is touching the speedo bracket, there is plenty of clearance from the screen bracket and the original cable cable clip...but as I fly along i get the buzzzzzzz....touch the speedo and the noise stops.

Odd, I thought...any ideas or did anyone else experience this after whacking on a screen?

Maybe your hearing things that were there before & now w/ the silence of the screen are more prevelant?? Happens to me when I change from winter to summer helmet setup! Bugged me @ 1st, but expexcted now. Ride & enjoy!!

After about 3000 miles I started hearing a large buzzing sound coming from my speedo. I took off the cable and lubed it with motor oil= I haven't heard it since.
I don't have a wind screen on mine.
