Question Hard Starting after Dominator Installation

So I installed the Dominator touring pipes about 3 weeks ago and they sound great. My bike also has more midrange power. I am very please except for the fact that the bike does not like to start now. Here is my setup and story:

I have an '07 T100. (Thruxton needles) I live in Florida at sea level. My idle adjustment screw is set at 3 turns out. Originally, I had done the bafflectomy and removed my airbox for K&N's. I moved up to 145 mains and kept the 40 pilots. I drilled my slide to 3mm I installed one shim and the bike dyno'ed perfectly except for a small flat spot around 2000rpms that I was not worried about. I also installed iridium plugs, which I swear allowed me to go higher speeds with lower rpms before I shifted. The bike ran better with every modification.

Once I installed the Dominators, I noticed an immediate power gain. I could run 4th gear up to 70mph before I even thought about shifting into fifth. I had assumed that I would have to go up a main jet size, but I knew I was already jetted too high according to Jenks, so I did not. The only thing I noticed was that I really had to let the bike warm up cold starting and as soon as I put the choke in, the bike wanted to die until I gave it a bit of gas and ran down the street a bit. Because I had extras, I added another shim to make it 1mm total, but I can't really tell a difference.

I figured since Jenks said I was jetted too high, I would go down to 140 mains, but the bike was not as strong and I went back to 145s. I still had problems with cold starting. It has been 75 degrees farenheit. Messing with the idle adjustment screws did not do much, so I left them at 3 turns out and opted to try bigger 42 pilot jets. This was a mistake. I am cold starting worse than ever and the bike seems to be racing at idle, but choking at the same time. If I blip the throttle at lights I stall. I guess it is getting too much gas and choking. My idle used to stay pinned at 1050 in neutral. Now it justs between 900 and 1200rpm in neutral

I am headed to get a dyno next week, but I am curious what others have to say. Since 145 seems like the right main, and 42's are too big for pilots, what can I do to get my bike to start and idle better?

stick with the 42 pilots and try 1 or 1.5 turns out. That's what I had, also at sea level, on my 865 bonnie with pred's and airbox elim.

fwiw, I was running 155 mains and 1 shim.

You are wicked rich with 42s 3 turns out. turn them in and you're golden.

That should get you squared away and running great. You may need to go more/less turns, but that will get you close.

Tune it when the bike is good and warm. The pilot will run different when the bike is hot/cold. If it runs great when cold, but crappy when warm (bogs down) you're too rich. If it's hard to start but runs ok when warm, and takes a long time to get warm you're lean.
