Cheap progressive springs fork springs

Ran into a fellow the other day needing to re spring his bonnie and could not afford the emulator straight rate spring option.

So I tried the stock progressives from my v-strom DL-650, and guess what they worked very very well after cutting a set of spacers to set the sag. They seem like a good option for about a 175-225 lb rider. used 5 wt oil and set the oil level at 125mm, may drop it just a tad. Put the tight coils at the top they seem similar in feel to the ikon springs maybe a little firmer sooner in the compression curve but this is good.

DL650 stock springs are avail. on fleabay and the vstrom boards all the time for $10-20.

After 500 mi this is turning out to be a gret option

Yeah I put the stock Yamaha Fazer 600 springs I had laying around in my Bonnie with 10W oil and they work great.
