First ride on the 904

Well just back from the first ride out on the Bonnie with its new Wiseco 904 big bore kit on it.
First impressions were that it didnt feel much better, but once warmed up after about 8 miles whilst leaving a village I put it in top and was just cruising at about 3,500 and opened the throttle, much better, only took it up to 4,500 as running in and only for a few seconds but certainly seems to have heaps more torque just where I want it, still feels undergeared even tho I've gone up to 19T on the front.
Gona try and run it in over Easter if the weathers not too foul then get it on the dyno to check the carburation.
As a 790 it was Running Dynajet needles & mains, K&N filter with snorkle removed and Polaris bellmouth fitted, bike still pulls cleanly, no poping, no hesitation, holds a steady rpm easily, thing is I haven't changed the carb settings now that its the 904, only done 25 miles but pipes blued noticibly more than before but not as bad as some on these pages.

I can't believe you're running a 904 kit through a bellmouth! Get some POD filters!

Pod filters and opening up the pipes will make a noticeable difference.
putting on better carbs like the Mikuni's will make a very big difference.

I have to ask...why go to the trouble to do a 904 kit & not ditch the airbox & dynotune the carbs?
