TORS, Do I need to jet carb

I have been told that you do not to add a jet kit when you add the TORS on a Scrambler. Could someone advise me if they have found this to be true. Also do you recommend the desnorkle?

I suggest you do a search on TORs and jetting, you will find much information on this, otherwise you will just get ridiculed in this post for not searching for this info.

I'd be surprised if rejetting was at least advisable

Just don't get me started on the snorkel issue

Wrong, there is a reason that it comes with new jets. You will be running lean.

Do it, it is a simple 15 second mod... you dont like it but it back in. From what I gathered, most that remove, it keep it out (including myself). So have said it does work... really won't make a HUGE difference.

I just bought the Scrambler TORs and no jet was included. I didn't ride the bike with the TORs and the stock 110 jets so I can't comment about that combination. The Jenks tuning guide recommended 115's and that's what I used, plus one shim under the needle. Seems to run OK. It certainly doesn't have the symptoms of being rich at full throttle.

If you decide to rejet, don't do what I did and attempt to work on the carbs still mounted on the head. Not enough room for me to get the inside rear float bowl screws. Once I went ahead and loosened the airbox and undid the clamps for the rubber carb connectors it was a piece of cake to slip the carbs out and change the jets.

Maybe they dont come with them standard then. When I bought my Bonnie, one of the one million question I asked the dealer was if I could put a Scram exhaust(TORs) on my bike. He said I would need the headers and then rejet with the larger ones... along with a couple of other not cost effective things. ell. Bonnie TORs come with larger jets. Still, you increase the air flow it should be balanced out with the fuel side as well.

Mine did not come with jets, were fitted by the dealer by a bloke who appeared to know what he was doing.
It runs fine.

I don't use WOT though for any great length of time and this is where main jet is critical.

I was in a Triumph dealer and asked this Q, a guy at parts/svc said they dont come w/ jets but when he puts TORs on he just opens up the fuel a little more.

Isnt popping on decel a trait of triumphs

>Isnt popping on decel a trait of triumphs<

it's a trait that fuel is igniting in the pipe past the exhaust valve seat instead of efficient combustion in the chamber.
