Dart flyscreen question

I am trying to determine what the wind protection characteristics of a Dart on a Bonneville are. I am mainly concerned with helmet buffeting. I would rather put up with the strong, but consistant wind blast than buffeting. Can any of you using a Dart comment?
Thanks.

You will experience a constant windblast on your face with a fly screen.
No buffeting.
I have one on my bike.
It only keeps a bit of wind away from the chest.

Evenin',

I do a mix of highway and back-road riding and have yet to experience buffeting at any speed. Perhaps it's mental, but I think you can feel the increased force on your head, but it's a constant force; your head doesn't bob around in the slipstream at all.

Cheers!

Dart

I am 5'9'" and my experience is no buffeting of the head and little wind from the center of my chest down to the tank. I find it takes just enough pressure off your body and still you get the effect of a naked bike.

My experience is very similar. The blast feels very smooth. But that little screen does a good job cutting thru the windblast. I can cruise for hours at 70-75mph, it would have been tiring without it.

However, I had trouble getting the dart+headlight to stay put where I wanted to, if I tried to put the flyscreen in a more vertical position , the windblast pushed it - and the headlight up and out of adjustment.
To solve it, I simply put the dart in the most rearward postion until it rested on the gauges , then adjusted the headlight beam.

Thanks for all the info. It sounds like the Dart provides a stable capsule. I was concerned as a result of an aftermarket screen I had on a Kawa that created a real buffeting problem over 60mph. As bad as following a semi on the slab.

The Dart is great. I love mine. I'm 5'10" and I don't get any buffeting.
