Rizoma Bar End Mirrors On Bonnie
What has been your experience with either of these Rizoma Bar End Mirrors
mounted on the Bonneville's 1" handlebars?
Are the "expanding inserts" needed?
More info here: http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=59_52
but no definitive answers.

I can't comment on the mirrors. However, I thought you might like to know, if you buy anything from PJ's Parts you can't go wrong... they earned their reputation for excellent customer service.

Can't tell you exactly how they would install on a Bonnie, as I have a Thux and the bars are a bit different, but I can tell you that the Rizomas are worth every penny. Great craftsmanship, fit, finish, etc. Here is a pic. If you search back a ways, there may even be an old thread when I installed them that walks through step by step.
BTW, went with non Rizoma bar ends, as those wouldn't work for me on the Thrux.

I have the Reverse Retro and have them mounted on the end of the bars. I had to use the smallest insert, which is just a plastic sleeve. The pictures show the bar ends, I don't see the sleeve in the picture. Easy install on the stock bars but the Flanders bars I put on made for a much tighter fit, I believe due to thicker chrome. Great mirrors!

Thanks, "5bassman." That's what I needed to hear.
The "search" feature revealed successful application of the Rizoma mirrors by "Thrux-ton-up," on one of John's Thruxtons, but I couldn't find anything that verified they'd work on a Bonnie with 1" handlebars. At these prices you want to be sure!
For the record, I've been using the "Barking Mad Bonnie" mirrors (pictured below) that I bought from British Customs. They are very stylish and well made, but provided about the same rear visibility as the standard mirrors.

The Rizoma mirrors work fine on 1" bars. That is the size they are made for. The plastic sleeves are there for shims for smaller bars such as the 7/8" bars I have on my Thruxton. They are great mirrors and you should like them very much, I love mine.

So, to be perfectly clear, the Rizoma Bar End Mirrors REQUIRE purchasing the Rizoma Bar Ends for about $40? Is that correct? (Thanks guys.)

No, mine came with different size plastic sleeves, no bar ends and none needed. The mirror probably would have fit 1" bars without any sleeves but it would have required tightening them down alot. I went with the thinnest sleeve and it didn't require much tightening. I also had a couple of other sleeves that were thicker for smaller bars. I believe they would fit 1 1/4" bars without sleeves but don't hold me to that. Just make sure they come with the plastic sleeves, but you will not need bars ends. I just slid my grips in a little. The website tells how much bar is required to mount. It's not much!
