I am doing some mods to my Scrambler and am thinking of shortening the stalks on the turn signals and painting them black. Does anyone know of a good prepping proceedure other than a good detergent, scuffing and maybe using a black applience epoxy spray paint? Any suggestions would be apprecitated.

Thats about all there is to it. I didn`t even scuff them,just clean,primer and paint.These had original Hammerite on them but the Rustoleum appliance paint works equally good.

Thanks for the advice and especially the picture of your bike, that helps me visualize the look. Cool looking bike you have, I have always liked black and gold together. I will post pictures of my bikes when I finish the majority of mods. Trying to capture some of the look of an early to mid 60's Pacific blue and silver scrambler.
