The 904 has landed

Woohoo!!!!
Look what the Postie just brought me.

The whole kit & kaboodle. Plus a steering dampner.
It injected a welcome dose of happiness into an otherwise stressful Monday (don't ask).

I've got to wait until Feb 17, for my mechanic to get back from vacation, before I can put it in the bike. But that just gives me time to figure out what to do about the head (should I just port & polish, fit bigger valves, or get a new head from Sth Bay?). & see if I can squeeze a set of flat-slide carbs out of my mad-money budget.
I'd also like to upgrade the brakes. So I can rein in them extra ponies. But I might have to stop eating, to afford all that (by Feb 17).
& that's not mad-money.
That's just mad.
Though not beyond consideration.

Scratcher,
You must be jumpin out of your skin. Kinda like the anticipation of going on a date with the worlds hottest P*rn star. How can you sleep without hopping out of bed just to look at the parts and then dream of the symphony of pistons you will soon be conducting.
Good luck, may it fire on the first kick for you.

Scratcher,
Just to further highlight my ignorance, 'isn't the scrambler a 900cc anyway?'
Can you let me know what the extra 4 cc will provide?

The Scrambler's got the same 865cc motor as the rest of the Bonnie range. So I'm gaining an extra 39cc, which still ain't much compared to the 114cc the earlier 790cc Bonnie motors get out of the same kit.
But I also get an increase in the compression ratio from 9.5:1 to 10.5:1 (I think), which I'm told makes a big difference. Especially combined with my Thunderbike cams (already fitted) & the proposed flat-slide carbs & Sth. Bay's Street-Pro Head.
It's going to be a beast in the bush!

Scratcher,
I wondered about the engine capacity as the it is referred to as the Scrambler 900 in an article by 'insure my ride'.
If I had read a few more lines I would have seen the exact cc specified. :-(

you will like the 904. I went from my T100's stock displacement of 865-904 and it made a big difference in power. The thing is a lot snappier, torquier, generally "meaner" at all RPMS.

enjoy
