Quick ?: Bonne oil filter #

Got to do my 18000 change and was digging around in the garage. I found a filter, T1210444, I must have bought a while back at the dealer. That is the correct filter for the Bonnie. Yes? No.?

(I have a tendency to pick up odds and ends at the dealer when I am there since he is 100 miles away and then forget I did it or forget to label things. NO! I am NOT getting old...........well,,,,,,,,,,,,,kinda.............. )

Thanks. I wasn't clear enough. The filter is a Triumph OEM filter. I THINK that is the right part # for a Bonnie filter, but am just double checking. I also think they changed the part # in 2004 to the one I have. ???????

here's a site where a guy did the research on oil filters

http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/FilterXRef.html

it's a good article...turns out the Purolator Pure One is all you need...and Pep Boys carries them. this one

Purolator Pure One PL14610, about $6.
is a bit longer than stock for max filter.

no need to spend dealer prices.

I just picked up a Triumph oil filter and it says T1210444. It doesn't fit and I had to glue it on with epoxy and it leaks about 1/2 quart of oil a day, but other than that it works fine. No, I'm just kidding, it fits and doesn't leak...

Filter

I been using the NAPA Gold 1358 since new & had no problems. Get a good deal as the Co uses them & i get their price. I think made by Wic? There are so many filters that will fit!
One part Triumph used that is totally universal!

Thanks for all the advice on what filters to get.

But I already have the filter and just got the answer, although ...........

"I just picked up a Triumph oil filter and it says T1210444. It doesn't fit and I had to glue it on with epoxy and it leaks about 1/2 quart of oil a day, but other than that it works fine. No, I'm just kidding, it fits and doesn't leak..."

So, thanks everyone, and especially n578md!!!!

maybe the question is that, since you HAVE that one already, can you use it? Well - if you are replacing a spin on filter on a triumph (which you are, yes?) - then it will work. It's the replacement number for all spin on filters for triumph from what I can tell....

once that one is gone, however - I second the recommendation on the Purolator Pure One filter.
