royal highness seat
for your amusement...find this off the shelf...
winter project that isn't done by thanksgiving...
the never ending quest for the perfect seat(s)...must be on springs, must form fit the duchess' posterior and have a backrest.
premise is this:
progress is thus:
springs anchor on 2 of the rear stock mount threads and the side bars carry all the strain at the shocks. Plenty beefy with economy of form.
after I get hers right, I may have to tackle mine...it's a RE seat, but the pan isn't right.

Are you gonna put some padding on that or does she have to sit on the bars?

Modre, while I admire that you will do this for your Pillion, my thought is that maybe she would have preferred a GoldWing with a nice cushy, heated rear seat. And I count myself lucky that my better half thinks the stock seat, with grabrail, is just fine.

To avoid this adventure I first put the missus on my thruxton seat and now she thinks the stock one is the lap of luxury.

My wife saw the Goldwing seat and wanted to know if it could be put on the back of the Bonne?
. . . enter Drew stage left with Photoshop!

Hedge, do you really want pink tassles on the seat ? Because that is what Drew'll give you. Or a whitewalled seat, ofcourse.
Drew, I assume you understand the satirical undertone (even though I'm a dorky Norsky).
