Smile 19 Tooth Sprockets Revisited

Ordered a 19 tooth sprocket from New Bonneville and it turned up in Australia 16 days later. Considering this was over Xmas that's great service. Thanks to Brent from New Bonneville who supplied this item to my door for AU$40.37 a terrific price.
Fitted the sprocket (a relatively easy one hour job) and finally went for a ride yesterday. I no longer go looking for a sixth gear on the open road and the low end acceleration doesn't seem to make much difference. Really tested it out on Maquarie Pass a great twisty ride. Thanks again New Bonneville.
Can recommend this modification as well worth the effort for the small expense.

Cool

I put one on from NewBonneville yesterday. An easy job and well worth it. The bike just seems a little smoother at 70-85 mph. I didn't notice any loss from the stop light either.

There is one thing ive noticed since i put it on...1st gear feels like 1st, 2nd feels like 2nd...so on and so on. It has made for a nicer ride over all.

I have the 19T on my 904 and it is a good thing. Anything less would make first gear non-existant. It is REAL quick off the line. Up top, the difference is great. Highway speeds (80 mph) are real easy and smooth. Good job.

my 790 did so much better with a 18 then a 17 i am going to a 19 soon .If you got a good horse load the wagon dont worry about the horse.these are not jap bikes you dont have 12000 or 14000 rpm to play with. You might loose alittle in 1st gear from start to 8000rpm but if you got some real hp it wont ever see under 5000 rpm to 5th gear if you can ride it.

Wink I'm thinking of totally reversing my sprockets

Big on the front, little on the back ..... man, that way I can go down the highway taching less than 500 rpm at 75mph. I may have to change over to a steam engine, however, to get the bike off the line.

Bob
