AI and jets with D&D

I just got the D&D exhaust (black w/alum tips) from New Bonneville that comes with it's own AI removal kit and carb jets. Instructions are a bit sketchy so I had a couple of questions.

1. The AI kit came with 2 bolts and a rubber nipple. The instructions say to remove a line from the left manifold, and plug it with the nipple, but on my 08, I can't see any line that isn't already plugged with a nipple. Was there a change at some point that removed the need for this?

2. I'm not sure the right terminology here, so bear with me. Clearly the bolts plug the holes in the head when you remove the air injectors. But I don't know wether to remove the piece that splits the air from the airbox to the injectors. I've seen other kits plug the airbox hole, so they likely remove that splitter. There also seem to be a couple of wires that run to the splitter. What are these, and should they be disconnected?

3. The kit came with a pair of of small pilot/idle jets, but no bigger jets, but no info what size they are. Anyone know? Is this sufficient for a bike (2008 865 Bonneville) with no other mods? If I were to keep the stock airbox, but add a better breathing filter (K&N/UNI) what carb adjustment should I look at for even power and reliability? I should say that my interest is not for power gain, but sound and looks, so I would like reliable running to be the first priority.

Thanks.

as far as the AI goes put the bolts in the head then you can take the rest of it off the bike you will find one vac that goes to the intake just plug that off with a rubber plug should of came with the kit.
as far as main jets go i cant say for sure but would guess 115 to 120 might be close
some of the kits i think come with a plug for the air box if not just plug it up so dirt cant get in it
