Headlight Done, more this weekend...(pics)
Got the headlight back from the powder coat shop...Looks great, I think, chose a satin finish to go with the fork ears...Please forgive the grass in the background...it has been raining for weeks now...I promise it'll get the full treatment the first "dry-ish" day we get...

Close up...Kind of a classic touch with the black fender stays? No?

And here is what's on the ASAP list...Progressive springs and gaiters...then I plan to swap out the current pod filters with the larger K&Ns...gonna have to re-jet as well, No Biggy...Hope to squeeze a-little more "something" out of the Bonnie for this coming riding season...
And the saga continues...Cheers!

Wow! Looks really really sweet! Perfect matching with the light brackets, and the contrast with the chromed rim is just great. Very retro!
How much did the painting cost? I'd seriously consider this if the price isn't too high...

That headlight bucket looks very good. I'll bet it was a PIA to get it all back together, with all the wiring in there.
You'll like what the new springs will do for your ride.
My headlight bucket is behind a fly screen but the reflection from it is annoying. I'm too unmotivated to pull it all apart and have such a nice job done on it, but that's what it should get.

I like it! Lookin sharp. I like your black fender struts as well, and the gaitors will only add to the blackness!

Thanks everyone...much appreciated!
coelacanth- Thanks...The headlight cost $20 to have powder coated (includes- blast, pre-heat, coat, heat, clear coat)...I thought about painting it myself but wanted to try the whole powder coat thing...I'm satisfied...You shouldn't pay more than $20-25 tops for a headlight bucket...anything more than that and the shop is just trying to rip ya off...Look around in your area...You'd be surprised how many there are...and ask to see finished work...as well as swatches to compare finishes.
Baltobonneville- Thanks, and Yes...the wiring har-NEST was a bit of a PITA...just had to keep moving things around. Then woila!! Like that it just fit...Glad I don't have to mess with the inside of that thing on a daily basis...
D9- Thanks...and a set of your Lay-Flats are next on my list...
Sweatmachine- Thanks...Blackness? You have any idea how hard it is for me NOT to pull the tank and fenders...and spray everything Darth Black!! It's actually on my "To Do List", but that **** green keeps getting in the way!
innominate- Thanks...I worked pretty hard on those things...I just had to get them perfect (being the location)...took many, many, many tries...eventually...they came together exactly how I imagined them.
Thanks again everyone!

How'd ya do that?
Revolt,
The bucket and fender stays look bitchen. Supspension is high on my list as well. But...I gotta know how you "golded" the lettering on the tank badges. I have gold coach lines on my creamsicle and the gold lettering would rock. Do tell...please.
Cheers,
SK
