Pod filters: K&N vs. Uni vs. ???

How do the two of these products compare?

I know K&N has the name, but are there truly differences in performance?

UNIs filter better. K&Ns breath better. But,the UNIs will pass more air than your carbs can handle, and the K&Ns filter fine for a street machine,as long as it's not running a turbocharger. The UNIs need to be cleaned rather frequently, while the K&Ns will go practically forever without cleaning. UNI's are a whole lot less expensive than K&Ns. I'd go for the UNIs.

Cheers!
Bruce

Think Coke vs Pepsi. Or as the Japanese would say: They're the same, just different.

I have a uni, big improvement over stock and no hassles.
I have also removed the snorkel and restrictor plate.

I have fitted both and would recomend the K&Ns over the Uni.s due to the fact the K&Ns have a ridge which holds them in place better.Found the Uni.s kept sliding off.

I fitted a Uni a few weeks ago. You have to oil it first (I used the aerosol spray from NewBonneville which works cleanly). It works and fits fine, but I haven't had the pleasure of cleaning it yet. That's another thread...

Woops. Just realised your question was about pods. I haven't done the ARK yet.
