Rear Lights + Short Fender?
Hy All,

Yes...I DID do a search....

So I am looking to clean up the rear tail light section. I will be using a Triumph bobbed rear fender, with a Lucas oval type/style brake light. So question one:
1) are the Lucas tails a straight plug + play?

I am looking at keeping the rear turn signals at the back of the bike, as opposed to rear shock mounts. So next question:
2) are there rear taillight assemblies that incorporate the turn signals that are cleaner and smaller than OEM?
3) Of not, would that mean drilling the fender?

I am looking for some pics/ideas of your rear ( No, not of your rear) brake light/turn signal set-up.

Have you looked into these, http://www.newbonneville.com/html/co...light_kit.html

I know they are not oval, but you could always drill and mount them to the side if there is room. Or you could make a bracket that would mount below the the light and would have tabs that you could mount the lights on.

I went with the individual bits for rear lights. When I cut the fender, I left enough on the edges to mount the turn signals.

I am going to be ordering the mini rear fender from BellaCorse. It has a oval LED brake light, and I am going to mount the mini signal lights on the side. Sweat has a similar setup as well as a couple others. Check out the tread in the Cafe forum about it. But if you are going into custom mounting and mocking up different setups... take pics!

My version is also available in black anodised, and comes with light incorporating the numberplate light, and numberplate bracket. I fabricated an alloy mounting bracket bolted to my chopped fender. The Motrax unit bolts to my bracket. Here is a link: Scroll down to MOTRAX LED CYCLOPS REAR LIGHTS http://www.thevisorshop.com/acatalog/Lights_&_Lens.html

An here is a selection of indicators: http://www.thevisorshop.com/acatalog/Indicators.html

This is the Route I went and although it is a little expensive I feel I didn't waste a penny!
