Bonneville Exhaust Sucks...Advice Please?

Okay, I know there are MANY threads on this, but I'd like to ask everyone's opinion anyway: I love the Bonnie, but the exhaust sounds like a tightly stifled fart! I have LeoVince slipons on the SS and love the sound.

I'd appreciate some advice on what to buy, pros and cons, and pictures together on where I can buy them if possible. I had ordered some NH Togas, but they seem to be on indefinite backorder. Best alternatives?

toga toga

My advice? All things come to he who waits. Norman Hyde has the medicine you need, and deferred pleasure is always sweeter than immediate gratification. wait for the togas.

Yeah...did the search thing, but it is incomplete.

For instance, anyone know anything about the Sprint mufflers from New Bonneville?

The Sprints are either the same or very similar to the Bella Course Teardrops which I have: see my link about the "Sweetest song..." Snap to install, great sound and I'm going to guess that besides having no silencers at all, they are just as free flowing as any of the other exhausts. When looking through them, they are just as wide as the headers all the way through, so I doubt there is much back pressure. They breathe... loudly.

I had a set of Sprints (made by EMGO) and loved the sound and performance. But as other people said, they are truly free-flow and very load. I know there are louder cans out there, but Sprints ARE LOUD! It was a bit too much for my situation so I had to switch to TORs.

There are videos posted on exhaust thread, but you really can't tell how loud they are, even with 5 cans comparison video.

That said, if you like louder and traditional looking cans, Sprints are an excellent choice IMO.

Search for Sprints, EMGO, teardrops for more info.

My 2 cents: The closest sound I have heard to the NH Togas is the Predators, IMHO.

See...that's the thing: I don't want EXTREMELY loud. Just deeper and throatier. I think Predators may be the way to go.

Predators

They are VERY loud!! I ahve the gutted stockers & still love the sound! Sweet & mellow @ idle but got some guts when @ WOT!! Also there are free. Try it 1st- see what you think? I did & I havent even looked elsewhere! Drill as much as you want till you get the sound you want. It has a real true (old) Triumph sound. Wont PO the neighbors. Sounds sweet & mellow @ idle w/ that Triumph rumble. W/ the snorkle removed @ WOT it can be heard for some distance! I love the burble on backing down @ hi RPM's! I will keep them till they go south then look @ Emgo's. Wrap them w/ enuff FG & they sound pretty nice as well. Gutted stockers are sweet & free. Try it 1st!!

I think what you need is the Predator Touring.I have the Pred. Sports and even with Staintune baffles installed in them I switch off the bike and coast up my driveway so as not to wake the neighbors.
