Smile Warped Rotors

Any of you having trouble with your front brakes pulsating. I'm thinking the rotors are warped. I called the Triumph dealer and he stated he hasn't heard of any troubles or recalls on the speedmasters. Just wondered if anyone has heard anything on this matter.

Thats funny!!

Lots of people have had trouble with warped rotors and just about everyone that has had trouble has had them replaced under warranty. Common and well known problem by Triumph.

I have an 07 Speedmaster dealer replaced rotors at about 5500 miles & now it is in the shop for the 2nd set of rotors but this time he is going to replace the front wheel too because it is bad does not run true so we'll wait till spring & see if that takes care of it 2nd time was at 15350 miles so far it is warranty work

Your dealer may also work for Disneyland Mate. " Hasnt heard of any troubles" If thats what he is saying I would guess its his main job. Ask him if he reads the information from Triumph over the last 4 years regarding rotors.

There has been volumes written on this subject. I have had my discs replaced 3 times on 19000kms on my 06 Speedy. They way Triumph have not dealt with this is a beyond reason. Keep a record of what was said by the dealer and what they replaced. Then you have some ammo for when its outside the warantee eg you have not fixed the problem. Dont let them fudge you about.

Mine too I think are warped, when it was in dealers for cutting out I asked them to look at it, they test rode it and said it was fine, within tolerence... ok at fast speeds but under 30 mph braking is juddery..

I will have to pay to replace them, are there any NON triumph ones that are better made??

Rotor?

MY dealer is the best. I thought the rotor was warped. I took it to a local shop and they said the same... The front wheel had a wobble from right to left. The threads on the front axle had rusted and no longer would tighten. They took care of the axle and adjusted everything. Check the front wheel first. It was moving from right to left and causing the caliper to rub the rotor?

My dealer wouldnt replace mine ether, they said there still in spec and its all in my head, my brakes are good as gold,
im going to get floating disks,,,, all other modles came out with floating disk but not the speedmaster and america.

Dealers will try and get out of doing most warranty work if they can.

cheers
