its all in what you think works and looks good to you go for it.I like the stock bars ok myself.being a old man i wouldnt want some of the low bars some of the guys like. What i like most about our bikes is the look and feel of the bikes from the 60s and 70s.you didnt see many bikes where people layed down on them to ride unless they where raceing. If i wanted that i would be rideing a 14 kaw. Our bikes are class ,what bikes use to be and should be just plain fun to ride.If you buy a bonnie it will still be just as cool 5 years from now,If you buy a sport bike it will be just a out of date sport bike five years from now.

Well put Mike! I couldn't agree more accept it is more like 10 years, 20 years and more from now, we will still be riding that classic looking Bonneville and people then will say what they say now - WOW, Nice, I remember when, I wish I still had mine, etc.

bars

Change your bars and have fun riding it, may feel weird at first but you'll get the ape"hang"er of it later...crap pun.

I have the wide super low cafe bars - sheesh they look cool and I look mean as hunched over, but a pain in the back after a long ride. The things we do...

Your bike, do what YOU like. peace bruv

Curiously, you actually lean forward just a little.

It is also fair to add that if this is your do-everything bike, these particular Flanders bars might be a bit higher/more upright than you'd want for unfaired long distance. Strangely, they really aren't that much higher then stock, but the angle is quite different.

I like 'em!

Dont suppose you have any pics of the flanders do you? they were my first choice before i bought the clubmans. but i wouldn't mind something higher now.thinking about the NH westerns but cant find any decent pics showing the pullback.

Not yet, but I will over the next few days.

I've never posted a picture on the Forum before so I'll have to work on it.

Try them out!
Ride with what you like!
I love my 16" apes on my Shovelhead. Super comfy.
But I put M bars on my Bonnie.
