Exhaust Pipe
Hate to start a new thread on exhaust question, but here's my question. Want to replace stock pipes on my new Speedy. Want nice sound without freaking neighbors as well ( I am early, early riser!)
Considering Staintunes, expensive, but rated very high in quality. Sound level? They are rated at 94.5 DBA with restrictors in, and 99 DBA with restrictors out per their website.
Dale at Specialty Spares emailed me that the Specialty Spares are quieter than Staintunes, from what he has read on Triumph forums, but doesn't know what the Long Slash Cuts are rated at.
Anyone know what the various pipes are rated at, without modification?
D&D
Epco
Sceptre
TORs Long
Obviously, can repack the pipes, but was curious about sound level without have to fool with them right off the bat. Thanks!

I measured my SS Long Cannons at 85dB at idle 10 feet perpendicular to the left side with my trusty Realistic dB meter this summer. I think the usual EPA stat is measured 50 ft on axis at 4500 RPM but my arms aren't that long...
At some point this winter I'm going to get my lovely assistant to take measurements for me before and after I repack the silencers just to get it all down on paper, at idle and at 4500 rpm both 50 ft on axis and 50 ft at a right angle. Should make good fodder for the forum anyway :-)

The TOR's are going to be the quietest and probably won't flow quite as well as the aftermarket products, but they won't wake your neighbors up either. I have the short tapered TORs on my BA and like them.

I'm really happy with my BUB's. Not to loud, but nice and throaty. Loud enough to be heard on the highway butdesn't annoy the neighbors to much. i think they are aroun $400

Specialty Spares
I've had them on my bike for about 7000 miles and I often times leave for work before 6 am or find myself coming home after midnight. No complaints from the neighbors yet! (I live in a large apartment complex)

Pipes
I myself like my ThunderBike Pipes. Had a set of Epco's and thought they were a little tooo loud for my neighborhood. Bub's would have been my second choice over the TB pipes. But to each his own thoughts what it should sound like. Had long TORs to start with but it just wasn't what I was looking for.

I have observed my scepters to set off car alarms while idling thru parking lots. No complaining neighbors though.
