Corbin seat
I'm thinking of getting a Corbins gunfighter and lady seat with back rest, for when I go cruising with the pillion in a million. have any of you guys got one? If so what do you think?
Love Ched.

Great seat for ride all day comfort. Has been some discussion here about problems with the seat fitting properly. I had no issue's with mine.
Limited use of pillion to short trips around town with wife. Backrest a must for her comfort.

I put on the GF&L late in the summer, so I have only done a few runs with it on. MUCH better than stock, and it is breaking in nicely. - only complaint is that I will need to fix the tang over the winter so the seat fits better.
BTW that is the tall Triumph backrest

Can't comment on that particular seat for the Triumph, but I had a Corbin rider and passenger seat installed at the factory with backrest on my Honda CBR and had mixed feelings leaning toward the negative. I find their seats to be very hard, too hard. And I'm sorry, if it takes a few thousand miles for the seat to "break in" it just means your rump gets numb to the whole thing after that length of time. I didn't have any fitting issues because I went to the factory and they spent quite a bit of time (3 hours) getting it right, as I was watching from the big window. The other problem I had was with the backrest. The set screw that both adjusted the height and secured the rest to the seat would come loose after a short time with the passenger on the bike. It never came all the way out, but allowed the rest to pivot annoyingly whenever my passenger leaned back. Some people really love them, but after spending that amount for a new seat, you'd better.

If the seat fits you,you may like it.I had one,but at 5'7",30"inseam,I couldn`t utilize the pocket in the seat without scooting way back and then leaning to reach the bars.I had to sit about an inch and a half forward. Also as mentioned, the seat is very hard, with even thinner foam than the Gunfighter model.I can`t comment on the fitting because I have custom mounts,so I had to mod it to fit anyway. Its also incredibly heavy, carried high on the bike.Mine was "broken in" by the previous owner,so I didn`t need to use it for a whole summer to stretch the leather. The leather is the only thing you break in,because the foam is only 3/4" thick and according to their site is resiliant and doesn`t break down,so it wouldn`t ever conform to your butt..So,IMO,if you`re a bit taller, longer legged and have a "fleshy" backside, you might be happy with one.

I cannot comment on that seat either because the price was very expensive which at first didn't scare me away but the F'ing wait on that was unacceptable. I ended up going with the Triumph OEM K&Q seat with the High Sissy Bar and my wife loves both. She went from, I'm not getting on that uncomfortable POS anymore to "This is really Nice, lets go for a ride!
That's all I needed to hear to realize that I made the right decision and got full value for my 2up spending dollars!
PS - In my opinion the GF&L seat does look better though! If I could ever find one used cheap I would probably scoop it up to give it a try.

Reason: I forgot to add this about the GF&L looks.

I have the single gunfighter and I love it. The more miles I put on it the more comfortable it gets. As to fit I had to add washers under the Corbin mounting bracket (one per screw) to align with the triumph bracket.

FastFreddie - That's the nicest looking GF&L seat I've seen. It's got me considering buying one again. The Triumph backrest you're using goes much better than the actual Corbin backrest IMHO.

We love it!
I buy a Corbin for every bike I've owned. They are expensive and I'm not rich, but to me they're worth it. For me a firm seat is better for the long haul. Big soft padding goes where it shouldn't and makes you numb. I got mine pretty quick, and I got to design it myself. The other cool thing is, because they're so expensive, you can resell when/if you trade in your bike. My wife also deems it a necessity.
