Haynes manuals

I run a 2007 Bonneville T100, and the time is drawing nearer for me to get oily and lose skin from my knuckles. Before I delve ever further into the bowels of my motorcycle, I realise that enthusiasm never really compensated for a lack of knowledge, and what I need is a good manual. I've noticed you lot talking about various workshop manuals, including Triumph and Haynes. Thing is, in the past I've found that Haynes covers a model of bike for many years production, and there can be a lot of variation. For instance my BMW R100/7 had whole organs and limbs that Haynes never referred to.
So the only Haynes I've seen for Hinckley Bonnies goes up to 2004 models. I don't know how different my 2007 model is.... carbs, electrics etc. Does anyone work on a 2007 bike from this manual alone, in which case how good is it? I ask because I get the growing feeling that my wife wants one for christmas, to go with the socket set I've already got for her hidden under the tree.

Hi,

According to the UK Amazon website there is a new version of the Haynes manual coming out in April 2008 which covers the 2007 models.

the haynes manual will be good for any year bonnie or variation thereof. I have both the Haynes and the Triumph manual and I recommend buying both.

I have the Haynes Manual and it is for 2001 - 2007. It cost me about $25. I also have the Triumph OEM Factory Service Manual and it cost me about $80. Each of them is valuable and I wouldn't try and pick one or the other - they both compliment each other. Forgo one Modification for one month and buy both manuals or ask Santa for them - but I recommend both.
