Flyscreen -real benefit or simply cosmetic?

I am considering the Triumph flyscreen for my T100. Can anyone tell me if you get a significant wind deflection or is it just cool looking and keeps the flys off your instruments as the name suggests (truth in advertising)? Also, are there any associated problems such as noise or turbulence with a cross wind.

I cant comment on the Triumph flyscreen, but I can tell you the Omar's bikini fairing on my bike does pull the wind off my chest from roughly the neck down. No real turbulence issues till I'm up over the ton...

I put a Buell flyscreen off a Cyclone on my SV650 and it worked great. I would tuck down a little and it took the windblast off me pretty good which helped when it got cooler out.

I have a Dart flyscreen and it takes some of the wind off my chest and gives me a place to hide if I have a shorty helmet and it starts to hail. I don't have any problems with turbulence, noise or cross winds. With a full face helmet it is a remarkably smooth transition of wind up over my helmet.

I have a Triumph flyscreen on my bike.
It keeps the wind and bugs of your chest but your face is in full blown wind.
I don't mind the wind in my face but if you don't you should get a bigger windscreen.

It's a great place to hide your EZ Pass.

I bought it for that reason and for cosmetic reasons.

I put a fly screen on my CB, I was so pleased with it that I also bought one for my TB, in my opinion they're a good compromise between having a larger screen and no screen. That's where the compromise is, better than having no screen but not as good as a larger screen but if you don't care too much for screens then the fly screen is for you.

I put the factory fly screen on my bonne just because I like the way it looked. I think it makes a little difference but not much.

Same here, I put the Triumph fly screen on because it gives a finished look and keeps the bugs and dirt out of the backs of the instruments. It deflects some wind blast, but my upper chest and face are fully in it.

Other Motorcycle: I wish!
I put a fly-screen on my Ural rig at one time.
It made it a 'PIG' to handle in the wind.
