New Cam Cover

Probably a stupid question but just want to make sure. Can I put the polished cam cover off of the 865cc Thruxton onto my 790cc Bonneville? The dealer I took my bike to put a scratch in the cam cover when they were replacing the gasket.

I say yes, but this is not based on any scientific proof or expertise from my perspective. I asked ages ago what the difference between these two engines are to look at. The only things was a sleeve in between the carby and carby pipe. Hope this helps. Hey just had a thought check the part numbers in the accesories catalogue.

The cam cover is the same for all the twins.

Yea, I talked to them immediately after seeing that they scratched it. They said that they could get me some touch up paint. I told them I don't want touch up paint. So I was going to have them order the polished cover instead of a new painted one, cuz i like the polished better.
