Ikon fork spring fitment with pictures

first off the triumph stock springs are very basic a small section of spring with 200mm of pipe dumped on top where as the ikon spring is a full length spring progressively wound it puts the stock thing to shame .
1-I found the ikon spring did need a spacer as it sat in the tube 12mm lower than stock spring as pictured,
2-ikon say to cut 12mm off there spacer and use it but it was a flimsey set up and the tension was not quite right pictured,
3-so I made a stainless steel collar 35mm (D)/23MM(B)/9MM(W) this seemed to compress the ikon spring just nice and because of its shoulder width provide a nice flat surface for the spring to seat on.

Just upload two pics, then reply to that post with two pics, reply again, on and on until you're done. Check out http://www.triumphrat.net/ride-trip-reports/ to see how it's done.

This is a great DIY to try and post, thanks.

PVC pipe works well, too and is easier to cut.
Thanks for the dimensions!
